Who we are

Gate Repair Surrey (gaterepairsurrey.co.uk) is a referral service connecting people with independent electric gate engineers in Surrey. We are the data controller for the details you send us. Contact: hello@gaterepairsurrey.co.uk.

What we collect

• Your name, phone number, postcode and, if you give it, your email address
• What's wrong with your gate, how urgent it is and any details you add
• The page you sent the form from and the time you sent it

How we use it

We use your details to pass your enquiry to an independent local gate engineer so they can contact you about the job, and to keep a record of the enquiry. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.

We share your enquiry with one engineer who covers your area. They use it to contact you and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work; they're responsible for how they handle it from then on. We don't sell your details to marketing lists or send you marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to two years so we can deal with any questions or complaints, then delete them.

Where it's stored

Enquiries are stored with our hosting and database providers and sent by email through our email provider. These providers process data on our behalf under contracts that protect it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@gaterepairsurrey.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
