Common problems engineers are asked about
- Gates that won't open or close, or stop part-way
- One gate leaf moving and the other not
- Motors humming or clicking without moving
- Slow or jerky movement, especially in cold weather on hydraulic models
- Remotes that won't pair, or keypads and intercoms that have stopped
- Water in underground motor boxes after heavy rain
Underground Frog motors
Frog motors sit in a foundation box under each gate. They're neat and popular, but they depend on that box draining properly. If the drain silts up the box can fill with water, and a motor that keeps getting wet will fail early. Clearing the boxes at an annual service is the cheapest way to protect them.
Repair or replace?
Most CAME parts are readily available. Where a control board or motor is obsolete, an engineer can usually fit a current CAME replacement into the existing installation without new groundworks.
Gate Repair Surrey isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer. Brand and model names are used only to describe the equipment that independent engineers repair.

Questions
I've lost the release key for my CAME motor. What can I do?
Release keys are specific to the make and model. Tell the engineer it's a CAME system and, if you can, the model name on the motor, and they can bring a replacement key.
Can I get extra or replacement CAME remotes?
Usually, yes. Engineers carry or can order compatible remotes and code them to your receiver on the visit. Older systems may need a new receiver if the original remotes are no longer made.
